Have you released something from the public?
“I always talked to everyone, also during the game. I was able to babble along the line while I was baseball. There used to be two players who were given love from the HCAW audience. Robert John and I were always welcome in Bussum.”
It is a short day towards the competition. How do you tackle that?
“I told the players that I need them all. You all have to cooperate. Then we can come out, how we are going to do it this year. I only have a short time to control the selection and keep it satisfied.”
What about transferring your vision?
“I am not afraid of that with these guys. They are very experienced. It is just putting the dots on the i and then we go for it. If all the faces go in the same direction, it will be fine.”
Do you already dare to express an objective?
“The objective is to get the Holland Series. I also want to support that, we have to bet high. Let’s first get the play-offs and then we look further. Step by step.”
Have you had contact with Ronald Jaarsma?
“I haven’t done that yet, but I am planning that. It is a good friend of mine. We even played five seasons together at HCAW.”
The new baseball season will start in three weeks. The Bussumers open the competition with an away game against Hoofddorp Pioniers, also an old club of Henson.
