On Sunday evening a fire broke out in a house on the Oosteind in Sprang-Capelle. A man and woman were present in the house when the fire broke out. They were injured in the fire and taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The fire brigade was quickly on site. The woman had now left the house herself. She was taken to the hospital for a check -up because she had received smoke. The man was still inside and was taken out of the house by the fire brigade. He too was taken to the hospital with an ambulance.
Pets
When the fire broke out, pets were also present in the home. The cat was trapped and brought out by the fire brigade. The dog, when the smoke was largely out of the house by a family member taken out of the house.
The fire was probably created during cooking. The house has suffered smoke damage. The fire brigade has ventilated the house with an overpressure fan.
