After the frustrating early end at the Masters in Indian Wells, Alexander Zverev started after a two -week break in competition with a clear victory in the Masters 1000 in Miami.
The German tennis professional beat the British Jacob Fearnley in his opening match on Saturday (22.03.2025) after 74 minutes with 6: 2 and 6: 4. In round three, Zverev, who was number one, meets the winner of the game between Australian Jordan Thompson and the Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
At his first surcharge, Zverev had recently focused on training and the work seems to have paid off. Over 90 percent of the first service found their way into the field against Fearnley. Zverev already won his first service game and also ended the first round after 33 minutes with an ace.
