The Northern Italian region of Trentino is allocating 10 million euros to attract new residents to the region. Italians from other regions that buy a house in one of the 33 selected villages in the autonomous province of Trento can receive a subsidy up to 100,000 euros. “It is about very small, almost extinct municipalities,” explains Ileana Olivo, provincial director who will guide the new residents, in the local newspaper ‘Corriere del Trentino’.
