In Meppel a cyclist was hit by a car at the beginning of the afternoon. This happened at a bicycle crossing on the Van der Duyn van Maasdamstraat.
The emergency services immediately took action. The victim, according to bystanders a young woman, was treated by ambulance personnel and brought to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The police are investigating the accident. The road has been temporarily closed for traffic.
