Pop journalism lies on the ground, no longer reacts to speech. The only question is: off to the family crypt or do you prefer to go to the waste paper container? The cause of the decay seems obvious: Who is still seriously in a magazine shop to buy one of these high -priced music magazines? And, from the perspective of a Gen-Z-Ller, what is a magazine shop at all?
In this column, I dismantle the man-made genre from the realm of dinosaurs into its three primary individual parts that would be there: incomprehensible high school students, corrupt product journalism and helpless overpass from sound to text.
OK
Okay, I’ll make a shit. I love pop and writing as well as reading about it. You can pick up the whole rampant downstalk on the subject elsewhere.
No Front against the college: inside the ignition radio at this point.
This column here is much more likely to throw a highlight on why everything should always be destroyed in the current decade … Off- and online. The YouTube’s proposal lists have long since become demolition bulbs. The fact that Bad Vibes “click more” than Good News may have got around, but a closer look shows how far this phenomenon has already become independent of social media.
Welcome to viral clips like “The destruction of Friedrich Merz”, “The Destruction of German Film”, “The Destruction of Peter Jackson”, “The Destruction of Oliver Pocher”, “The Destruction of Windows”, “The Destruction of Easy Jet”, “The Destruction of the Tagesschau” … up to “The destruction of the destroyers”. I don’t want to pay more clicks to this doomscrolling flash mob. Look or simply believe me that this is not a marginally common spinner content (well), but that these are material that can have six-digit access numbers almost continuously-sometimes even more.
Even the shirt-sleeved grill penis is drawn into the suction of the all-encompassing demolition derbies during YouTube and Tikok food blogging. Or how do you explain videos like this?
“We do everything wrong at the steak-the destruction of the steak myths”.
Demolition, demolition
I understand me correctly … I own a punk background and used to star on the wall of our village sports hall as a teen-namely in the summer when it was freshly sprayed there: “Nice what breaks you”. Exciting! At home, the slime plate is on the “roaring, smash and gossip and away” on it. Even today I think many things Beyond Repair, some destructive requests are justified.
So this is not a rant against destruction itself – but very well against the negligent omnipresence that she has achieved in this era. Anyone who wants to preserve but want to change and reform today loses attention to all those who rigorously demand demolition. 2025: If you want to destroy, you are right. Well, thank you very much.
Pandemic
The popular Corona virus is not so much the trigger than the catalyst of a division of society. In view of the initial restrictions, life shifted even further and even faster at the beginning of the decade. Millions of votes rang online at the same time to find hearing. The algorithms of Instagram, TikTok and Twitter pointed out the way for us: outrage is the last requirement for range, argument acts as an eye -catcher. On the one hand, the large platforms tried to keep their self -created monsters through guidelines, punishments and facts, on the other hand, they fuel the neglect in dealing with others to this day.
The origin
The great hour of destruction is shortly before pandemic. On May 18, 2019, the YouTube Influencer Rezo released a clip on the occasion of the European elections that changed everything. “The destruction of the CDU” has been able to pull countless freezing destroyers and 20 million clicks to this day. But the video also initiated important discussions. In politics, for example, the question had to be asked how political content was conveyed to new generations. To generations that get your information from Eben YouTube instead of the daily newspaper, for example.
Stair joke of the story and perhaps the even greater (self) destruction of the CDU: that they sent their bizarre miracle weapon forward at the time: Philipp Amthor, the conservative old man in the body of a demonic child with a striking Mister Burns-Swag, also distributed the last doubt that Rezo’s criticism was necessary.
The destruction
The destructive fetish receives his all-time-high, especially with the second term Trump. In which a behavioral problem can be cheered when he proclaims the destruction of tens of thousands of jobs with a chainsaw on stage. The fact that destruction can of course only be good if it wants to build something better on the rubble no longer plays a role. No problem for the destroyers, because as soon as the topic of structure is due, people’s attention is better to move restlessly to the next destruction.
Make reconstruction Great Again
I also cannot say that I can fully avoid this phenomenon. I catch how I held and think about time and then not to see what is hidden behind videos, who claim to destroy Uri Geller, Jan Böhmermann, Taylor Swift or of course also Rezo …

Nevertheless, I deliberately do not click all of this. The (social media) culture behind it appears fatal and is part of the immense empathy problem that shapes this era. I did not get this impression that the algorithm would learn from this rejection on my part, but the “intelligence” of these programs seems to me to be overestimated. I see a different glimmer of hope: the ghost train character Elon Musk benefited from his purchase of Twitter, but ultimately also isolated the platform and let it come to a shit show from fake news and hate Speech. The former relevance is gone. The way from Meta is similar for me in the near future. As already Facebook, Instagram has now had its zenith significantly behind. The immediate bend of Marc Zuckerberg in front of the Trump government and its “value system” accelerates the replacement process of many users: only more inside. And social media without the promise of visibility and range quickly becomes an abandoned ballroom. No future without growth – and negative growth triggered the decay. This cannot then be turned over by even more destructive heating.
Forecast: The time of the big social media platforms will soon be over. This is followed by a fragmentation that – and this is my hope – will noticeably redeem us all of the run after the run and thus also from its dark excesses (destruction!). And if this is also reflected in the analogous together, how beautiful it would be, right?
Tschüss billionaire chainsaw massacres, hello in common. Destruction was yesterday, today and still runs tomorrow. But destruction is not everything. And I really wanted to have noted that here. Build up!
