Greenentea Peng today (March 21) releases her new album Tell the It’s Sunny. A total of 14 songs are about identity, the complexity of man and self -discovery. Her voice meets soul, jazz and psychedelic rock. It is sung and rapped – your rough voice gives the music a special depth.
Spirituality at the center of the music
The singer and songwriter from London and has already released her second studio album with Tell the IT’s Sunny. In the Musikexpress AlbumreView, the new record is described as a “snotty self-view” and “dealing with the political out there and the spiritual inside”.
A central motif of your music and the new record is transformation. In the current ME interview, she explains that despite difficult experiences, the acceptance of changes is important. “You can’t force the change – it happens when you allow it,” she says. In addition to external influences, your personal career also shapes your music. Your experience as a mother plays a special role. The birth of her daughter gave her more courage and hope into the world, which is also reflected in her music.
