Record number of accidents with buses and trams from De Last year, also more victims

The buses and trams of De Lijn were involved in 7,207 and 1,191 accidents respectively last year. In 2022, 5,987 and 1,123 accidents were counted. This is according to figures that Flemish Member of Parliament An Christiaens (CD&V) has requested. The figures show that in most cases the line is not held responsible: that happened in 2024 in 2.5 percent of bus accidents and 2 percent of tram units.
