Today Pope Franciscus is in office exactly twelve years. The 88-year-old church prince spends that birthday in the hospital, where he was admitted almost a month ago with a double pneumonia. According to the Vatican, his state of health has meanwhile “stable”, but his return to the holy chair remains uncertain.
