interview
Sportschau expert Sven Hannawald speaks in the podcast about the immediate expulsion of the Norwegian jumpers, the brazen, German honesty and about machines that should replace people.
Sven Hannawald has long since sensed that the suits of some nations cannot do everything with right things. The ex-jumper and sports show expert was confirmed and is also on the norwegians four days after the scandal in the Sportschau-Podcast.
Hannawald scolds audacity
“The type of audacity that is shown there that exceeds any ideas,” says Hannawald. That Johann Andre Forfang and Marius Lindvik tell that they did not know what happened to their suit, the experts really got the palm: “How can you be so bold and somehow feel like it, by saying that I couldn’t do anything. If that is supposed to be the case, it is the two blindest jumpers all over the world. “
Ski jumping is the most sensitive sport. Such a sensitivity is needed. “You notice what happens with the suit or not. And that is defamation, mockery for every normal jumper who is normally preparing for a wadness in the face of what the two let go.”
Machines have to replace people
Shortly before the FIS consequences against the caught jumper spoke out, Hannawald played for suspension in the Sportschau-Podcast. “If I were a FIS director, there would be a clear cut. At least I would throw out Lindvik and Forfang. “ Not forever, he pushes after, but at least until the end of the season. “Then they would have time to think and the others in the team would probably have such a guilty conscience that they probably couldn’t get any more on doing anything else”presumably Hannawald.
In order to avoid such fraud, the inspector must be replaced by a machine in the future, the expert demands. “Humanly influenced factors have to get out of business.” The Norway should also be out – from the medal ranks. Hannawald bluntly demands that the medals to be recognized.
Combined with unauthorized binding
The scandal could also expand to the Nordic combination. Jörgen Graabak was disqualified there because of an unauthorized bond in jumping. He also gave the unsuspecting and said he didn’t know what bond he had on the ski. “Are they not completely tight or what? Do they think that we are any blind chickens to whom you can tell everything?“Hannawald is annoyed by the audacity.
