After the suit fraud in ski jumping, Norway pounds a lot. Now further allegations against the nation are being loud.
The ski jumping world is shaken by the fraud of the Norwegians (you can read everything about manipulation here). The team had manipulated and changed suits and unauthorized a reinforced seam. This should give the suit more stability in flight and thus improve the jump. The manipulation was seen in an anonymously published video that was also played up to the World Federation FIS.
As a consequence, the Norwegian athletes Marius Lindvik, Johann André Forfang and Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal were disqualified by the Großchanze after the World Cup jumping. Norway’s sports director Jan Erik Aalbu subsequently resigned. In addition, head coach Magnus Brevig, who, as shown in the video, was suspended. The full extent of the fraud is not yet clear – and there are already new allegations against the Norwegians.
The Austrian head coach of Poland, Thomas Thurnbichler, said the Norwegian broadcaster TV2, said that his team had already noticed changes at the World Cup in Engelberg at the end of December and informed the World Association FIS. So it was “small details”.
According to TV2 and “Bild”, it should be about unauthorized changes in a bond that should belong to the world champion from the normal ski jump, Marius Lindvik. This should prove a photo that is both TV2 and “picture”. According to the Norwegian broadcaster, the recording shows that the left side of education has been changed and sanded down. It should be on the normal hill from the competition day. Lindvik had won World Cup gold there.
TV2 has contacted Norway’s national team. This had neither confirmed nor denied that it was the binding of Lindvik. However, the now suspended trainer Brevig said that it was not the bond of Lindvik. Brevig, however, was seen in the video in the video.
