As “ESPN” reports, the LineBacker was equipped with a new three -year contract that can contribute up to $ 45 million. Two thirds of this sum are even guarantees.
The only 24-year-old Bolton came to Kansas City in 2021, at that time as a second-round pick in the NFL. Already in his rookie season he was on the pitch in 12 games and has been an integral part of the defense of the chiefs since then.
Bolton is particularly known as a Tackle monster and is particularly important against the run. In 2022, for example, he reached 180 tackles and thus the second men in the NFL (maximum 184 tackles by Jags-LB Oluokun).
At the end of the same season, Bolton recorded a 36-yard fumble return for the important touchdown in the Super Bowl against the Eagles, which the chiefs narrowly won. Last year, Bolton also appeared at the Super Bowl against the 49ers in top form and contributed 13 tackles to victory.
NFL: extend chiefs with Hollywood Brown
And the chiefs also have to announce a contract extension on the offensive side of the ball. Kansas City extended the expiring work paper from Receiver Hollywood Brown. He receives a new one -year contract for up to $ 11 million.
Brown had received a similar contract in the previous year, but with a shoulder injury, however, he failed almost the entire season. It was only at the end of the season that he was back on the square without having a big impact.
