At the Formula 1 season start in Melbourne, ex-world champion Jacques Villeneuve is first expected as a brand ambassador. The journey began for the Canadian with a curious mishap.
Jacques Villeneuve will probably not forget this business trip so quickly: The ex-formula 1 world champion had to take an involuntarily long break on the toilet on the way to the start of the season in Australia.
“I’ve been on the toilet for 20 minutes and the security guards can’t get me out,” the Canadian wrote on Instagram. The 53-year-old published a photo of the Milan Airport Malpensa. However, Villeneuve did not seem particularly pleased on the selfie. “The toilet flushing goes every 30 seconds. What fun. Very impressive,” he commented sarcastic.
After around 30 minutes, the 1997 world champion was able to free himself – with brutal violence. Villeneuve reported that he had to enter the door. “A piece of the ceiling fell on my head,” he added, showing the damaged door in another picture. Despite the unwanted incident, he assured: “Ready to go to Down Under.”
Villeneuve’s experience called amused comments on the social networks. The Canadian answered a wink to a post: “Hahaha, I wonder how many enemies I have before my first Grand Prix.”
