The arrest of the Uruguayan YouTuber Yao Cabrera Last Thursday, February 13, followed by the arrest of its partner in the organization of Viral Influencers/Wifi Team, Nathan Castro, aka Mini Boyunleashed a series of computer attacks in retaliation. From the prison, Cabrera and Castro, along with other youtubers investigated, coordinated a cyber attack against the media manager Jorge Zonzini and the victims Giovanna de Mitole and Mariano Fernández. The offensive included the filtration of personal information and the mass suspension of its accounts on Twitter and Instagram.
Zonzini had denounced Cabrera and his influencers network in October 2020, accusing them of operating as A “destructive sect” that exploited children, adolescents and their vulnerable families. Subsequently, the former employees of Cabrera, the graphic designer Giovanna de Mitole and the editor Mariano Fernández, joined the complaint.
The magnitude and severity of the crimes attributed to Viral/Wifi Team, which include trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation, abuses, Facilitation of prostitution, child pornography and money launderingled to the cause to unfold in two judicial processes.
