The Straubing Tigers and the Nuremberg Ice Tigers have used their home advantage and only need another victory to move into the playoff quarter-finals of the German Ice Hockey League.

In the first game of the Best-of-Three series, Straubing, the seventh of the DEL main round, the tenth, the lion Frankfurt, 2-1 (1: 1, 1: 0, 0: 0). On Sunday evening, Nuremberg prevailed 4: 3 (2: 1, 2: 2, 0: 0) against the Schwenninger Wild Wings in a no less contested playoff game.
