FCM misses jump forward

FC Schalke 04 further exacerbated the crisis at Hertha BSC with its first away win of the year. The royal blue prevailed in the duel of the stumbling traditional clubs in front of 70,159 spectators in the Berlin Olympic Stadium with 2: 1 (1-0) and may have already gained a decisive space towards the relegation zone in the 2nd Bundesliga.
Tomas Kalas (27th minute) and Kenan Karaman (55./Foulelfmeter) met for Schalke, the Berliners had briefly compensated for by Fabian Reese (51.).
The Hertha extended its winless series on seven games with a performance that was like a long-term level. Cristian Fiél’s change of coaches to Stefan Leitl has fizzled out after three games without a win, the relegation ranks remain threatening.
1. FC Köln moves back: happy 1-0 at the penultimate Ulm
Thanks to a late hit by Luca Waldschmidt, the 1st FC Köln ended its negative run and celebrated an important away win in the race for returning to the Bundesliga. After three games without a win, Waldschmidt scored in the 86th minute of a weak game at a lucky 1-0 (0: 0) with the acute descendant SSV Ulm, who has been waiting for a win for six games.
Bundesliga relegated Cologne, whose defense coach Gerhard Struber had switched to a chain of four, initially left the hosts to the hosts. Greuther Fürth brakes 1. FC Magdeburg in the promotion race
The SpVgg Greuther Fürth prevented the jump of the 1st FC Magdeburg to the top of the table. Coach Christian Titz’s strong guest team had to be content with one point at the 1-1 (1: 1) in Fürther Ronhof despite intensive offensive efforts.
Noel Futkeu put the Fürther in front of 12,930 spectators in the 17th minute. Baris Atik equalized for Magdeburg almost immediately (20th). The promotion candidate was closer to the winning goal in the second half. Martijn Kaars had a last big chance of final in the 82nd minute.
