Under certain conditions, you are also entitled to child benefit if your child is between 18 and 25 years old. This applies when the child completes a degree or vocational training for the first time. If the child completes an apprenticeship for the second time and does not work more than 20 hours per week or does a minor employment, the claim also applies. The merit of employment does not matter.
Child benefit can also be obtained during the transition period, for example between school leaving certificate and the start of the course, but in this case there is no longer any claim from the fifth month.
