Brand raged in a catering building on the Kruisstraat in Eindhoven on Friday night. There were flames from the back of the case, where there is a kind of warehouse.
A lot of smoke was released during the fire. Apartments above various restaurants on the Kruisstraat were evacuated by the police. Agents knocked on the doors and summoned everyone to leave.
Despite the fierce fire, the fire brigade quickly had the fire under control and could be prevented from the flames. The fire was limited to the warehouse.
Run away
Upon arrival of the fire brigade, a door to the warehouse of the affected case was partly open. People would have seen a suspect run away. The police are investigating whether there is arson.
The surroundings of the affected case have been deposited by the police.
