The separation of church and state is bad. This is now apparent now that government agencies are organizing religious iftar celebrations. The Netherlands is not a theocracy and not a country with an official state religion. We have a multi -religious society, but not a multi -religious state in which the government is obliged to promote all religions. Nevertheless, government agencies consider it necessary to have religious celebrations performed by civil servants.
