The TBV-Lemgo-Lippe has brought the third win in a row in the handball Bundesliga. Against HC Erlangen, after an increase in performance, a sovereign 30:24 (15:14) success in half succeeded.

The East Westphalia were against the table-17. The favorite, not only because of the clear 28:19 success from the first leg. “The last three games have shown what we are able to do. Despite personal problems, we have successfully fought ourselves through and were able to score 5: 1 points. I am very proud of it. As a team, we want to confirm this form against the HCE again,” said the Lemgo coach before the game.

But the TBV was warned, because it was only last Sunday that the HCE surprised with a 33:33 draw against the top team of Hannover-Burgdorf and provided new self-confidence in the cellar child. And indeed: until the break whistle, both teams met at eye level. Both acted strongly, and it went and here without a team being able to make a decisive breakfast.

TBV goalkeeper Kastelic grows beyond itself

Even before the change, the Lemgoers had a hard time while throwing goals, either failed due to Erlangen Tormann Dario Quenstedt or inaccuracies in the end and also had litterpech in some situations. Even after the break tea, the lipper initially missed the last consequence in front of the opposing goal in some situations, but now TBV keeper Urh Kastelic grew more and more out and brought the Erlangen to despair with several parades.

Three-goal lead After 48 minutes

The lipper more and more determined the game and for the first time in the 48th minute threw a three-goal lead when Lukas Hutecek scored at 23:20. It was the crucial phase of the game because the HCE was no longer able to answer. Instead, Bobby Schagen expanded the lead to 25:20 with two goals in a row.

Now the home side pulled away, led in the 58th minute with 30:22 before Maciej Bala and Marek Nissen were still able to shorten the final score. Nissen scored the most goals in his team with six goals. Lemgos Tim Suton was the best thrower of the game with eight goals.
