The Leuven Luna, who recovers from breast cancer, called in the dream factory to make music on the street throughout Flanders to bring together as many people as possible and to raise money for Kom op tegen Kanker. The mayor decided to go into that call and gave a performance on the Harelbeke market square for the first time. For Vannieuwenhuyze, who plays the piano and guitar in his spare time, it was a step outside of his comfort zone.
“When I heard that call, I thought about it for a moment and I thought this might be the time to give a performance on the Marktplein here for the first time,” says the mayor.
