Manuel Neuer injured himself against Bayer Leverkusen. Apparently this has bitter consequences for him.

This is expected to be missing until at least the international break in mid -March. If this was actually the case, he would miss his team’s Bundesliga games against Bochum and Union Berlin, possibly also against St. Pauli at the end of the month. Neuer would also be canceled for the second leg in the Champions League against Leverkusen in the coming week.

The 38-year-old suffered the injury on Wednesday evening shortly after 2-0 by Jamal Musiala (54th minute). When cheering about the goal, he pinched in the calf. Shortly afterwards Neuer had to be replaced (58th).

Jonas Urbig came into the game for the 2014 world champion. The 21-year-old had only moved from Cologne to Munich in winter and made his debut for the German record champions against Leverkusen. Urbig Neuer is also likely to replace in the upcoming games. Sven Ulreich will then take a seat on the bench.
