On Sunday morning, December 15, a fireworks bomb was thrown through the letterbox of a house on Maasstraat in Purmerend. The explosion caused a huge sea of flames and the 16-year-old son of the resident was seriously injured. Several houses in the block also became badly damaged.
The police think that the two arrested minors have placed the fireworks bomb and have exploded. That is now being investigated.
Earlier arrests
For the explosion, three men from Purmerend have previously been arrested. Of them, only a 19-year-old is still stuck. The police see him as the client of the explosion.
