Malta’s Kant song has been in trouble.

Miriana Conte represents Malta in Eurovision this year.

The European Broadcasting Union EBU has not approved Malta’s representation of this year. The island state chose as its representative Miriana Conten by Cant.

The word of the malt-language means singing. However, the word sounds like the English word, which is a sub-style expression. The BBC previously announced that it could not make a representation.

Conte told about EBU’s decision on his Instagram account.

– Although I am shocked and disappointed, especially when we have less than a week to send a song, I promise you this: The show will continue – Diva will not fall, the singer wrote on social media.

Finnish visa representative Erika Vikman has reacted to the news on Instagram.

– In our hearts it is always a Kant, Vikman comforts Malta’s visa representative in a comment thread.

The Eurovision Song Contest is held in Basel, Switzerland. Finland is represented by Erika Vikman in the song competition ICH KONE. Finland and Malta will compete in the second semifinals on 15 May.
