Manuel Neuer from FC Bayern, as a eighth player in football history, has achieved the 150 games in the Champions League. Through his commitment to the round of 16 after the end of Bayer Leverkusen (to the LiveTicker), the 38-year-old moved up to the midfielder Xavi and Toni Kroos in the record player ranking and can do the same with both during the second leg in the coming week (March 11, 9 p.m.).
Neuer could already penetrate the top 5 this season if Bayern prevail in German duel-Karim Benzema is in the premier class with 152 games. The German record holder is Thomas Müller in fourth place with 160 games – three behind the podium.
There Iker Casillas is in second place (177 games) as the most recruited goalkeeper clearly in front of new ones. In the zero-zero games, however, the former DFB captain is ahead of the Spaniard: 61 times Neuer kept his box clean in the Champions League, a quota of almost 41 percent. Casillas managed this in 33 percent of his games, more precisely in 59 games.
