The joint -owned transfer of Nordea and OP starts operations, providing account -based payment solutions.

In their joint announcement, banks say that the transfer allows you to pay a phone number both in online stores and between friends. In addition, the phone number can be used to order both repetitive and individual e-invoices.

– We provide Finns with easy and secure payment services available in the customer application used by the customer, says Nordea’s Nordea Customer Business Director Jani Eloranta.

On Monday, MobilePay, used by 2,8 million Finns, announced the upcoming account -based payment solutions for its application.

This is how it works

There is no new separate application coming, but the services will operate in applications for partners supporting the transfer platform, such as mobile banks. New services will be available during 2026.

In e-commerce fees, the user enters their phone number at the online store in the payment phase, whereby the payment request will be approved for the customer’s transmission compatible application.

In addition, the merchant side may continue to send an e-invoice to the customer with a telephone number. This is also said to succeed in individual invoices.
