The selection of KZ was hit by a laundry list of injuries this season. Esther Cordus, Lars Hoorn, Kevin Dik, Onno Bakker, Alwin Out and Marijn van den Goorbergh were all not available for trainer Tim Bakker due to various injuries. In advance it would be a difficult story against the stronger LDODK from Gorredijk, Frisian.
The visitors shot off the starting blocks in Topsportcentrum De Koog and KZ could hardly stay with it. Halfway through the difference was only three points in favor of LDODK.

After the break, KZ showed a lot of resilience and thanks to the outstanding Anouk Haars and Nikki Boerhout, the home team brutally took the lead: 22-20. In the final phase, however, the shot precision of opponents Harjan Visscher and Marije Visser turned out to be too much for KZ. Thanks to the two, LDODK ran out in the final phase to a 27-30 victory.
With three games to go, the gap to place 4 is, a place that gives the right to participate in the play-offs, now five points. Theoretical there is a minimal chance that KZ can qualify for the play-offs, but nobody will take that into account. The Amsterdam Blauw-Wit, which is fourth, won convincingly on Saturday with 28-14 against KCC.
