Supplier Bettina Sågbom59, has been found in thyroid cancer, reported Ilta-Sanomat. Sågbom tells IS that he was in surgery on Monday and got home on Wednesday.

According to Sågbom, the pathologist’s statement will reveal the severity of the cancer in a couple of weeks.

– Obviously it is not good quality because it had metastases. Straight does not make metastases, he says.

Sågbom says he has applied for YLE’s occupational health care at the end of November at the request of his friend. Last Midsummer, a journalist’s surgeon friend pointed out that he should check Patti on his neck.

Sågbom convinced it that it was a goggle, which is followed by an annual inspection. He was diagnosed with a goggle in 2016. However, the words of a friend were left to bother with his mind.

Going to the doctor was delayed in November because Sågbom had no symptoms. In occupational health care, Sågbom was directed to more detailed studies.

“Based on these, the doctor estimates that it will not look good,” he says.

Sågbom says he was particularly concerned about the risk that his vocal cords would have taken a hit. However, he says his voice is okay. Sågbom intends to return to radio work as soon as possible.

In November 2021, Sågbom told the club that he was found a good quality tumor in the rectum a few years earlier. The surgery was not immediately necessary, but in the spring of 2021 the doctor proposed an operation.

The reporter took a month’s sick leave after his surgery. He told the club that the condition had improved.

– I am better than years now. I got used to and my body with irritable and painful bowels for far too long. Now I’m delighted with the idea that life should be like this – painless, Sågbom told the magazine.
