Norwegian magazine Vg says that they have received the messages that the Norwegian Crown Prince Haakon has replaced Mette-Marit boy Marius Borg Høiby with an ex-girlfriend’s mother.
In the past, it has been reported in public that Borg Høiby’s ex-girlfriend Juliane Snekkestad would have expressed concern about Marius’ violent behavior as early as January 2023 and tried to contact Haakon and Mette-Marit.
Marius Borg Høibya is suspected of assaulting Snekkestad. The couple dated from 2018 to 2022.
According to VG, the mother of Snekkestad first contacted the Crown Prince on February 7, 2023. She sent a message to the Crown Prince asking Haakon to call. In the published messages, Snekkestad’s mother refers to the initials.

– Hey nn I’m on my way to Haugesund. I’m in the hotel room at 8:40 pm. Can I call then? Haakon is said to have responded in about an hour.
Marius Borg Høiby is the son of Mette-Marit’s crown princess from an earlier relationship. Marius’s father is Morten Borg.
According to VG, the call was arranged that night. Snekkestad’s mother returns to Haakon by message at 11 pm.
– Julianne hoped for understanding and compassion, her mother wrote.
The mother also says she had talked about a telephone conversation to her daughter. Crown Prince Haakon will allegedly responds to the mother the next morning.
– Good morning nn thanks for introducing it to me yesterday. I heard what you said. It will probably take a while before we can respond properly as I am traveling until Thursday. I’m talking to Marius.
Later, the Crown Prince received a message from Snekkestad’s mother, in which she thanked her for the call and hoped the situation would be resolved. He also offered to send photos and other documents as evidence.
VG has provided the information he received to the court, but the court’s communications manager did not comment on the messages. Guri Varpe Acknowledged VG by email that the case is processed in the legal system.
Marius Borg Høiby was arrested in August 2024, after which he has been on several headlines. The skein started when in August it was reported that he would be accused of assaulting and damaging his former girlfriend. Later in the autumn, he was arrested on suspicion of breaking the restraining order and death threat.
All in all, he is suspected of assaulting, rape, vandalism, intimidation and electric kicking therapy of his two former girlfriends. A total of four women have been suspected to be a victim of Marius.
