The Baden-Württemberg duel of the handball Bundesliga between the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and Frisch on Göppingen ended with a 29:28 (16:15) for the hosts. Göppingen continues to wait for a point in foreign halls – since December 2023.
Kohlbacher celebrates return
The guests caught the better start. In the third minute, Oskar Sunnefeldt made a quick 2-0 lead with his massive litter into the left, upper corner. Both teams then searched their rhythm on the offensive and fought a balanced game. After almost ten minutes, Patrick Groetzki brought the lions forward for the first time (5: 4).

Three minutes before the end, Kohlbacher was attacked hard on the district, but got no free throw. With a quick counterattack, Hallbäck stayed ice cold and immediately at 27:27.
In the final minute it became dramatic: First, Knorr failed with his impact throw to keeper Bart Ravensbergen. Göppingen had the chance to win in the last seconds, but the attempt by Kempa trick failed. The lions reacted at lightning speed, Knorr served David Moré, who was free over to the left and hit the final score three seconds before the siren.
