Finns can access RTT technology as soon as telephone manufacturers open the setting with a software update. RTT also comes to emergency calls.

DNA’s mobile network has introduced RTT technology, which enables real-time text to enter the real-time text. This allows the call participants to write text to each other during the call and, for example, provide more information in writing.

– As its name implies, real -time text means that the text will appear on the screen during the call in real time, that is, letter from the letter, DNA’s cloud services and mobile core networks Pekka Jääskeläinen describes in the bulletin.

The text written during the call is recorded in the call slide and can also be read at the end of the call.

The feature does not require any changes to the connection or any additional services, but both parties are required to be on a 4G network. As a result, real-time text calls do not work when calling or responding on a 2G network.

In addition, Finns still have to wait for the telephone manufacturer to open the function. Both Android and iOS support the RTT in selected countries, but for Finland, it has not yet been opened to all users.

– As long as the software first enables the new feature, and it has been enabled from the settings, the real -time text call can easily make a button for it.

RTT technology is also coming to emergency calls by June 28, 2027 at the latest.
