The musical tells the story of the Belgian revolution and the struggle for independence. “The Belgian people want to separate themselves from the Netherlands. They want King Willem I to leave. You can see that story through the eyes of a Brussels family with resistance fighter André and his son Ketje, whom I play,” says Mauro Degroote.
The cast consists of experienced musical actors such as David Cantens, Maike Boerdam, Pieter Casteleyn and Lotte Heuten. In addition, four young West-Flemish talents make their appearance in the children’s roles.
