The Rust seems to have returned in the Schoolstraat in Oss on Sunday morning. Apart from a police car, the shooting is not noticeable the night before. Although local residents are shocked. “It’s coming close now,” says Dennis Hendrickx.
Dennis lives diagonally opposite the house where the shooting was. He was home at the time of the shooting around half past seven that evening. “We suddenly heard a shot and thought it was fireworks.”
“But it wasn’t,” he adds. “Moments later, the road was closed and several police cars came. We were shocked, because then it suddenly comes close.”
The police said several times that evening. The moment the woman opened for two perpetrators, there were also children present in the home. Nobody was injured, but everyone was shocked, according to the police.
The house where the shooting was consists of several homes. “It is normally a fairly quiet neighborhood, but things happen there more often,” says a local resident.
According to several local residents, labor migrants live in the house. “There is sometimes nuisance caused by alcohol consumption. I once called the landlord and then it was quickly resolved,” knows a passer -by who walks his dog.
A few houses away, someone just comes home on Sunday morning. “I was not here at the time of the shooting, but my children did. They just closed the shutters and looked at what happened from above.”
“But it wasn’t nice that they were alone,” says the man. “It remains Oss. The gang of Oss actually continues in this way.”
A few days earlier there was also a stabbing in the same house. In addition, a man was injured in his leg. “I hope it doesn’t happen too often, because it’s not nice,” says Dennis, looking at the house in his street.
The police say that they are investigating both incidents and whether they are dealing with each other. She confirms that both incidents have taken place at the same address.
