A 26 -year -old man from Helmond received less prison for causing a fatal accident on appeal. The Court of Appeal in Den Bosch put him in prison for three years, L1 reports.

The court in Maastricht had previously sentenced the man to four years in prison, because in September 2021 he was killed someone on the A67 motorway near Maasbree in Limburg.

According to the Court, the Helmonder, Metchel S., has between 243 and 277 kilometers per hour driven. The maximum speed on that road is 130 kilometers per hour.

The Court of Appeal agreed with the court that the Helmonder, Metchel S., may not control motor vehicles for five years.
