A police officer in Someren stated at the beginning of this evening that a stolen truck, with Lithuanian license plate, was driving on the A67 motorway towards Venlo. Shortly after he posted at the Asten driveway, he saw the combination pass by. The driver was stopped and, according to the police, completely cooperated: he did not seem to know that the truck was spotted as stolen.
The truck was seized, towed and parked at the hoist company for further treatment. The driver is dropped off at a hotel and will continue to arrange a committed transport company how to proceed. The official report is sent to authorities in France, because the report ‘Stolen’ came from. They will further investigate the case.
