The Bladel city council has unanimously agreed to the arrival of fourteen Tiny Houses at De Hooiberg care farm in Netersel. Some local residents are afraid that ex-criminals, heavy drug addicts or pedophiles will come into the houses, but that is not the case according to the care farm.

There was a lot of interest from local residents in the council meeting in the town hall in Bladel. They saw that council members unanimously agreed to the arrival of the Tiny Houses during the vote.

Councilor Helma Claassen hopes that both parties will find rapprochement and eventually come together. “If possible in a friendly, village way. On his netersels,” she emphasizes during the council meeting

De Hooberg works with professional employees with a college education. Clients also support each other in fellow sufferers. Now that the Tiny Houses are coming, there will not be guidance 24 hours a day, but the staff will remain available 24 hours a day.

Reaction of care farm
“I understand that local residents have doubts if they don’t know us. That’s why I invite everyone to come and see, so that they can see for themselves what people are about,” said director of the care farm, Els Meijer, last week.

At the moment, people can spend the night in a guest house for a short time at De Hooberg to relax. “We also want to offer an opportunity to stay longer if necessary. That’s why we want to build the Tiny Houses behind the farm,” explained director Els Meijer. That wish is now fulfilled, because the city council has given permission for construction.
