Ron Brandsteder once fled from his holiday address because Guido den Astekker, the current boss of Story, suddenly turned out to be his upstairs neighbor. “In a huge pick-up truck.”
It is no secret that Ron Brandsteder was really fond of his privacy. He was about the opposite of Henny Huisman. And that Story boss Guido has experienced the pick-up when he once went on holiday to the Spanish village of Nerja at the start of his career.
Huge house in Nerja
What exactly happened? Guido tells in Shownieuws: “I spent a long time in the role of raging reporter from Weekblad Story and I remember that I was on vacation with friends in free time. I had rented a huge house on top of a mountain at Nerja in southern Spain with a swimming pool. ”
“We found out that Ron Brandsteder and Yvonne, his wife, had the house under it. They indeed have a holiday home there. ”
Premeditation
Manuel Venderbos, the presenter of Shownieuws, then asks: “This was not premeditated?”
Guido: “No, that was the great. I met Yvonne the next day in Eroski, that’s a huge supermarket there, and he was shocked. She literally said, “How did you find out where we are?”
Pick-up truck
Yvonne Brandsteder did not know what she was experiencing. Guido: “I say: ‘In fact: we are in the house above you, but I just ended up here by chance. Simply via a platform that rented houses. “”
“Well, she still thought that was witty in the supermarket, but I think that about three hours later a huge pick-up truck came to Ron’s house and all the suitcases went on. They flew back to the Netherlands à la minute, so a story reporter who would camp next to them for two to three weeks was not a good idea. ”
Did Guido still take pictures of it? “No, but I was really there on vacation.”
