Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear performed with Post Malone on Saturday at “Saturday Night Live”. Together they played the Nirvana song par excellence. “Smells Like Teen Spirit” boomed through the prelude to the 50th jubilee celebration.

Dave Grohl was on the “SNL” stage for the fourth time, the second time without Kurt Cobain. Post Malone was a guest at “SNL” for the first time in 2022 and performed “Cooped Up” with Roddy Ricch and “Love/Hate Letter to Alcohol” with Fleet Foxes.

The band members also performed for those affected by the Wildfire in Los Angeles as part of the “Fireaid” benefit show (January 30). There Joan Jett, Kim Gordon, St. Vincent and Viola Grohl sang Nirvana songs with them. “Smells Like Teen Spirit” was not part of the party.
The appearance at “Fireaid” was the first in which Dave Grohl could be seen again. In the fall of last year, he canceled all upcoming appearances by the Foo Fighters.
