South Korean international Hwang Ui-Jo has been sentenced to one year in prison for secretly filmed sex videos. This was announced by the Yonhap news agency. The 32-year-old striker of the Turkish club Alanyaspor stood in front of the district court in Seoul because between June and September 2022 he is said to have filmed two women during sexual intercourse without their consent with his cell phone.

The public prosecutor had asked for a four -year sentence. However, the court assessed mitigating the fact that Hwang had granted the allegations and showed remorse. The case had already become known in the summer of 2023.

At that time, Hwang initially made a complaint against extortion against his older brother’s wife. This is said to have published intimate videos of the footballer with other women on the Internet. In the course of the investigation, the police then encountered evidence of Hwang’s crimes and then took him into custody.
