Bon Iver shows in the video what “Everything is Peaceful Love” means for him.
Bon Iver published a new single entitled “Everything is Peaceful Love” on Valentine’s Day (February 14). The track will appear on the fifth studio album Sable, fable. On April 11th the US Indie label will be Jagjaguwar Publish the album.
It has been six years ago that Bon Iver published the album I, I. In 2024 the EP Sable, on which the songs “Things Behind Things Behind Things”, “Speyside” and “Awards Season” were. These three now open Sable Fable.
Who did Bon Iver work with?
The singer, guitarist and organist Justin Vernon worked with filmmaker John Wilson for the lead single “Everything is Peaceful Love”. This became known about the HBO series “How to with John Wilson” named after him. Justin Vernon raves about his work: “I wanted the video to just show people who smile uncontrollably. Fortunately, Eric Timothy Carlson suggested himself [John] To connect Wilson. [„How To With John Wilson“] Is simply the most moving and funny program on all television. We were very lucky that John liked the idea. He pulled off, turned a bunch of funny things and cut everything together to the song. ”

What Bon Iver wants to convey
Justin Vernon tells how the collaboration came about: “I knew on the day we did ‘Everything is Peaceful Love’ what kind of plate I wanted to do. I always knew: that’s the feeling that I want to share first. I wanted the video to just show people who smile uncontrollably. ‘Everything is Peaceful Love’ gives me everything I wish for this album in a video. The idea that happiness and joy are the highest form and the true buoyancy of survival, and that it can heal the world if you take yourself less seriously. ”

A collaboration with Haim singer Danielle Haim, who is entitled “If only i Could Wait”, will also be heard on Sable, Fable. Sable, Fable was produced by Justin Vernon and Jim-e Stack. The album was mostly recorded in Justin Vernon’s studio in Wisconsin.
