The fire brigade did not know last night that a car in a driveway on the region in Klazienaveen was burned out.
Around half past eleven the fire broke out in the car. The residents of the house, who were at home at that time, did not notice this. A passing motorist on the A37 saw the flames and called 112.
When the fire brigade came to the car, the flames already hit meters high from the vehicle. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but were unable to prevent the car from burning out completely. Nothing is yet known about the cause of the fire.
