After almost 750 competitive games as a footballer, Dante is still not over. The Brazilian continues.
Dante remains loyal to professional football. The 41-year-old Brazilian has extended his contract with the French first division club OGC Nice for another year. This is supposed to be his last season. The defender has been playing for Nice since 2016 and has already played 300 competitive games for the club.
Dante played 13 caps for the Brazilian national team. His only use at the 2014 World Cup was the memorable 1: 7 semi-final against Germany.
Dante is team captain in Nice and is still a top performer. After a knee surgery at the inner meniscus in December, the defender has been fit again since the beginning of the year and is regularly in the starting eleven. At the beginning of the season, Dante had announced that Nice had ended his career at Nice in the summer of 2026 after ten years. OGC is currently on the third place in the table of Ligue 1, behind Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Marseille.
