Levin Öztunali and Valon Zumberi have not played a role at Hamburger SV for a long time and are supposed to leave the club. In the past transfer window, there was both professionals calm, but in some countries the option is still available. While the former is likely to sit out his contract, the central defender is still looking.
According to a report by the “Hamburger Morgenpost”, the Zumberi consultant team is currently examining possible stations in Finland, Sweden or Norway. The new season only starts there at the end of March, transfers are still possible until then. A concrete track last led to the Scottish second division club Hamilton Academical FC, where the 22-year-old was offered a trial training session. However, the player declined.
Both Zumberi, who suffered patella tendon luxation in summer and Öztunali, have been bound to HSV until summer and have been training with the U21 of the second division club since November. However, they should not be used there because the season in the Regionalliga Nord is intended for the talent.
In the current situation, Öztunali would also have been a predestined candidate for a winter change. In the run -up to the transfer window, it was said that he wanted to examine his options in January. Instead, the “Mopo” now writes, the offensive player made no institutions to leave the club. He wants to sit out his contract, which brings him around 500,000 euros per year.
