The internationalization of the Film Festival is striking. The collaboration with foreign film festivals, such as those of Rotterdam and Utrecht, for example, opens doors for talent from us.
Yet the Ostend Film Festival is committed more than ever to local talent, says Peter Craeymeersch. “During the festival we organized Castings with six agents who work internationally. We also let 32 actors follow Masterclasses, one on one with people who cast in Europe.” As a result, actors get opportunities abroad with us and the Flemish film is also becoming more and more an export product.
