Every Monday and Friday afternoon from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm there is sports on the fields of SVW’27 on the Parklaan. This is done under the leadership of Stichting Sport-Z in collaboration The municipality, aid organization Parlan and the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (COA). “Usually there is football, but sometimes we also do other sports,” says sports coach Jelle Zuijdam.
Meeting place
Football is a clear favorite with the participants. What is striking is the friendly atmosphere. Not everyone has the same amount of football experience, but each other and a lot of laughter is taken into account. “We are doing this for three years now and the group is getting bigger,” says Jelle.
It is very grateful work for the sports coach. “The boys are looking forward to this. It is really a meeting place for them where they also develop themselves socially.”
