Midfielent Matija Marsenic leaves Bayer Leverkusen and changes free of charge to the Polish first division club Górnik Zabrze. At the EkstraKlasa club, the 20-year-old signed a contract until 2028. Marsenic completed 23 games (three goals, five templates) for the U19 of Werkelf and led them as captain in 2023/24. Last March, the Montenegrin, who regularly trained with the professionals, contracted a cruciate ligament tear and has not been on the lawn in any competitive game.
“He was very close to the first team. Unfortunately, in the meantime he suffered an injury that braked his career. On the other hand, we know that without the unfortunate circumstances it would have been difficult to sign him, ”said sports director Lukasz Milik. “I am convinced that he will bring a lot to the team in the future.
