The 28th edition of Deloitte Football Money League presents the top -selling football clubs. In the 2023/2024 season, an association managed to cross a billion mark and thus wrote history. Sources of income for the clubs on match days resulted from the increased stadium capacity, the general ticket prices and the premium offers. The clubs received around 11 percent more on match days than in the previous year and achieved sales of over 2 billion euros.

21st place: the ranking
The Deloitte Football Money League was compiled by Tim Bridge, Kunal Sajdeh, Dhruv Garg, Matt Cunningham, Jennifer Haskel, Zoe Batchelor and Lizzie Tantam from Deloitte Sports Business. In this way, figures were used for the total revenue that are available from the annual financial statements of companies or other direct sources for the financial year of the 2023/2024 season. 20th place: Olympique Lyon
The French football club from Lyon reached a turnover of 264.1 million euros with an increase of 33 percent compared to the previous year in the 2023/2024 season and has secured 20th place. The professional football department of the Olympique Lyon association has existed since 1950. The game is played in the Groupama Stadium with 59,186 places for spectators and fans.

19th place: Olympique Marseille

The English Premier League Club Aston Villa is in 18th place. After an increase of 27 percent, the first division club recorded 310.2 million euros in income in the 2023/2024 season. The club has been in the first division for six years and plays around 42,918 places in the Villa Park stadium.

Premier League first divisionist West Ham United takes 17 percent with an increase in income of 17 percent. Last season they achieved sales of 322.2 million euros. The stage of the London association comprises a total of 62,500 places.

16th place: Juventus
The Juventus Turin association has been in Serie A, the first division of Italy for 18 years. Although the association has a loss of 18 percent compared to the previous year with sales of 355.7 million euros, it reaches the 16th place in the ranking.

15th place: Newcastle United
The Newcastle United association is also in the first league of England, the Premier League. With an increase of 29 percent compared to the previous year, the association implemented 371.8 million euros and thus reached the 15th place. 14th place: Inter Milan
The Internazional Milano football club – known in German -speaking countries as Inter Milan – occupies second place in the Italian League Series A. with sales of 391 million euros, the association reaches 14th place in the ranking. This increased the income of the 2023/2024 season by 3 percent.

Although the association only occupies eighth place in Liga Serie A, AC Milan reaches the 13th place in the ranking. With an increase in sales of 3 percent, the football club was able to take 397.6 million euros.

The Spanish runner -up Atlético Madrid can accommodate a total of 70,460 spectators at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano stage. After a short break, there is another first division of England in fourth place in the ranking. With a turnover of 770.6 million euros, Manchester United recorded 24.9 million euros more than in the previous year.

3rd place: Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) recorded sales of 805.9 million euros with a huge lead to other French first division clubs and thus reaches the top three of the ranking. Compared to the previous year, however, the income increased only by one percent, i.e. around 4.2 million euros.

2nd place: Manchester City
In second place is the last football club of the Premier League in this ranking and thus ends the series of the English. Manchester City was able to take 837.8 million euros in sales – also only an increase of one percent, but this corresponds to around 11.8 million euros.

1st place: Real Madrid
The winner of the ranking reached a new record in the 2023/2024 season: the Spanish record champion and Champions League winner took more than one billion euros. More precisely, around 1,045.5 million euros were taken. This increased the sales by 26 percent – 214.1 million euros – compared to the previous year.
