“In Noord-Holland we see hemp farms and drug labs in various places: on business parks or in the outskirts, but also in residential areas,” says Emile, drug coordinator of the Noord-Holland police. “That is super dangerous, because a drug lab has a risk of explosion and hemp farms break out easily.”
Ears and eyes
“Often people say afterwards that they had no good feeling about something, but that they did not report it for some reason,” Emile continues. “While reporting those suspicions can prevent life -threatening situations. So you really don’t want that in your area. We do everything we can to detect druglabs and hemp farms, but for this we need the attention of everyone.”
