Striker star Harry Kane is an integral part of Bayern. But the 31-year-old could turn his back on the club earlier than accepted.

Harry Kane completed 27 competitive games this season for FC Bayern. He scored 26 goals and ten templates – a fantastic quota. The striker, whom the Munich owned from Tottenham Hotspur for 100 million euros last year, also confirms in his second season in Germany that he is worth his money.

Kane, whose contract in the Bavarian state capital runs until 2027, could possibly leave the German record champions earlier than previously assumed. The reason: an exit clause in his contract.

As the “Sport Bild” reports, Kane has exactly such an option in his working paper. The captain of the English national team received them as part of his change from Tottenham to Munich. For around 80 million euros, he could have left Bayern this summer. However, since the clause is not pulled this winter, a departure will be off the table in a few months.

In the coming winter, however, the discussion could spark again. Then the clause in Kane’s contract should be activated again – this time for a change in the summer of 2026. The transfer would then be less than this year. Bayern would then receive around 65 million euros for Kane.

The striker is said to have wanted the exit clause in the event that he wants to move back to England prematurely. Kane is in second place in the eternal scorer list of the Premier League. It should irritate him to break Alan Shearer’s record. This is at 260 goals, Kane in the English top league at 213 goals.

Nevertheless, a departure from Munich should never have been an issue for Kane, writes the “Sport Bild”. With his family in Munich, he should feel extremely comfortable.

In the long term, Bayern apparently prepared for a farewell to Kane. Behind the scenes about Benjamin Šeško by RB Leipzig and Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting Lisbon had already been discussed. The transfer of both players should amount to around 70 million euros. In terms of salary, they would be significantly cheaper than Kane. This is said to earn 25 million euros per year in Munich.
