All 67 bodies of the passenger plane’s occupants and the military helicopter that crashed last week at the American capital Washington are recovered. The emergency services announced this on Tuesday, international press agencies report.
A passenger plane from American Airlines and an army helicopter collided with each other last Wednesday. Both the plane and the helicopter ended up in the River Potomac. It soon became clear that none of the occupants would survive the air disaster. Due to the harsh weather conditions, rescue workers had difficulty storing the bodies. Of the 67 victims, 66 have now been identified.
In the meantime, several wreckage, including part of the trunk of the plane, have been removed from the water. The cause of the crash is not yet known. US President Donald Trump suggested the helicopter “much too high”.
